Job Role - Specialised Disability Support Worker  Job description 

Looking for an engaging opportunity to make a difference?  

One Connection is looking for a motivated and specialised disability support worker to assist multiple participants in the Armidale region. This role is on a permanent/part-time basis, however could include weekend work as well as additional hours if availability is met.

Essential Experience Required 

We are looking for someone who has previous support work experience. This is an essential criterion, meaning those who do not meet this requirement will not be considered for the role. 

Applicants must demonstrate their ability to work independently as well as part of a team, drawing on previous roles and experiences as critical evidence of this.  

The successful applicant will be someone who proves themselves as an innovative thinker, bringing fresh ideas to a fast-paced work environment. 

We are looking for someone who demonstrates valuable strengths in both patience and resilience.  

Roles and Responsibilities  

Provide key disability supports to participants, including domestic & personal support, community access, and cleaning & hygiene support. 

Observe and report participants, including the ability to construct detailed incident reports when required. 

Application of participant’s plan goals.  

Essential Skills and Qualifications  

NSW Driver’s License 

First-Aid Certificate 

Working with Children Check 

Availability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends 

The successful applicant will need to obtain an NDIS worker screening check 

Candidates will only be considered if they are fully vaccinated.

Salary: $27.64 – $31.31 per hour

We are looking for someone who is both passionate and motivated to join our cleaning team. The successful applicant will be able to achieve the following roles and responsibilities in their position.  

Roles and Responsibilities 

General Household Cleaning Duties  

The successful applicant will be responsible for complete general household cleaning duties which can include, but are not limited to: Vacuuming, sweeping, bathroom cleaning, and general kitchen cleaning items.  

Rubbish Removal  

The successful applicant will be responsible for standard rubbish removal from the premises.  

Covid-Safe Practices  

One Connection is dedicated to ensuring Covid hygiene practices are both respected and met when conducting services within our community. The successful applicant will be briefed on providing a covid-safe service, and expected to continue this in alignment with the NSW Covid-Safe rules and regulations.  

Essential Skills and Qualifications  

Australian Driver’s License  

First Aid Certificate  

Willing to obtain a working with children check  

Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate  

Candidates will only be considered if they are fully vaccinated.
